Description
In 1961 Macmillan London released Macmillan’s History Picture Books, Book 2A, Lancastrian and Yorkist Times, edited by Edward John Stanley Lay. It was released in the US by St. Martin’s Press. Pauline has 11 illustrations in the book. They are based on the classic Tres Riches Heures manuscript illuminations. Macmillan also released the illustrations as individual 21″ x 17″ color lithographs. They were called Macmillan’s History Class Pictures, and were intended for display in classrooms.The size of each print is 54cm x 43cm (21 inches x 17 inches) The prints are in excellent vintage condition with no tears or tape marks. There are a few small pin marks and some light foxing on the white borders and possibly some slight creasing on the edges as can be seen in the pictures. These prints will be rolled for posting in a cardboard tube.
